'Radical' Christianity · Godly Inspiration

Peace so sweet.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m a nervous person. I’m a worrier, not much of a warrior.

But this identity doesn’t work in God, he doesn’t allow it. He doesn’t allow it because He is not a worrier, He is not afraid.

He is a warrior.

I was talking to my husband yesterday, telling him that I don’t know what I’m doing with this blog. He told me “God knows what he’s doing with this blog.”

Right, good point.

Are we pulling our identity from a place of self, or God? And if we are pulling it from a place of self, what are we pulling from? Is our identity found in our fears, is it found in our accomplishments? Is our identity found in our hopes and dreams? Because none of these things ultimately decide who we are as a person. None of these things are constant.

God is a constant. And for those who have died and risen again in Christ, Our identity is now found in who Christ is, as we have become one with Him. God said to be Holy as He is Holy, and I don’t know about you, but on my own I am not even capable of Holiness.

But my Father has called me forgiven, He has called me new, He has called me his daughter.

He has called me a warrior, because He is a warrior.

I was reminded again by a good friend this morning of Psalm 127, I was reminded that God is the one who brings the increase.

So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

1 Corinthians 3:7

So I encourage all of you to remember that it is God who makes things happen, and that He does so in His good timing ( of which I can almost guarantee is not when you want it to be LOL).

I pray this reminder blesses you as it has me!

-Grace.

Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.

It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.

  2. The reminder has blessed me for sure! Because at times I also find myself wondering what I am doing with my blog. And I think my biggest take away from this year is to accept that time is not in my control and sit still in His timing.

    1. I’m so happy to hear that this has blessed you! I agree, it’s so important to rest in His timing. It can be so difficult, but so rewarding.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

      – Grace.
